Our story

143. Shorthand for three words that matter most.

Long before texting, people used pagers to send messages in numbers. 143 became a simple way to say "I love you."

I = 1  ·  LOVE = 4  ·  YOU = 3

It's where our name comes from, and it represents the heart behind everything we do.

We believe every person deserves to be seen, valued, and loved. Wherever there is hardship, displacement, loneliness, or need, we want to show up with hope, compassion, and meaningful support.

Because sometimes the most powerful message we can give another person is simply:

You matter. You are seen. You are loved.

That is the heart of Hope 143.

Our mission

We exist to bring hope and love to the world's most vulnerable — orphans, refugees, and families in extreme poverty — through food, water, shelter, healthcare, education, and dignity.

What guides us

Our values in practice

Dignity first

We hand things to people, not to crowds — every family is seen as an individual, not a statistic.

Local partnership

We don't parachute in. Every program runs through vetted local partners already rooted in the community.

Direct impact

Lean and volunteer-driven, so support goes to food, water, shelter, healthcare, and education — not overhead.
